TYO Notify — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 August 2026
TYO Notify ("the app") is published by TYONLINE TECHNOLOGY PTY. LTD. This policy explains what the app stores and sends.
No account
The app does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use it.
What the app stores on your device
The topics you subscribe to and their settings, and a local copy of the notifications you have received. This stays on your device and is removed when you unsubscribe or clear the app's data.
What is sent to a broker
To receive push notifications, the app registers your device's push token (from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging) with the broker you choose for each topic (by default freemq.tyo.com.au, operated by TYONLINE TECHNOLOGY). The broker uses this token only to deliver notifications for topics you subscribed to. When you publish a message, its text is sent to the broker you addressed. Public topics are not private: anyone who knows a topic name can read or publish to it.
Push delivery
Notifications are delivered via Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. Google processes the push token and message payload to deliver the notification, subject to Google's privacy policy.
Data we do not collect
The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics SDKs. We do not sell or share your data. We do not collect your location, contacts, or files.
Security
Connections to the broker and to Google FCM use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
Data deletion
Unsubscribe from a topic to remove its registration, or clear the app's data / uninstall to remove all local data.
