Secure Drop
An anonymous, one-time encrypted channel — no login, no history. A recipient creates a drop and shares the link; anyone can send a private message back that only the two of them can read. Keys are made in the browser and thrown away after, so there's nothing left to decrypt it later.
What this protects — and what it doesn't
- No account, no name. Nothing here is tied to your identity.
- Encrypted end to end. A fresh key is made in your browser just for this drop; the server only ever sees ciphertext.
- Forward secret. The key is thrown away when you close the tab — nothing is left to decrypt this later.
- Nothing is stored on our side. Messages are in-flight only.
It does not hide your network connection, and — like any website — we serve the code that runs here, so this is for lower-stakes use. If a mistake could get someone hurt, use SecureDrop over the Tor Browser instead. Opening this drop in Tor Browser also hides your IP from us.
You'll get a link to share. Whoever opens it can send you an encrypted message.
